    I cannot say enough to describe how amazing my experience with NJ Spine & Orthopedic has been. Every appointment I've had has been thorough and I have never once felt rushed which is huge for me since I have spent 15 years in and out of various orthopedics offices trying to resolve my back pain. Dr. Katzman is knowledgeable, communicative, and caring. The office staff is responsive and has completed any paperwork that I have needed almost immediately. Ethan, my patient advocate, was so patient while guiding me through the insurance process. I am so thankful I found NJ Spine & Orthopedic and look forward to my continued healing and interactions with the staff.

    I had visited their facility in Philly back in May 2023, 2 hours one way and in major pain, for a consultation to which my health insurance did pay for. They were my 5th orthopedic to be seen as no one in my local area could help me with an unhealed broken tailbone that happened back in March of 2022. I had seen a different doctor at the time of my appointment but given my situation, I was told in the office then that doctor Katzman would be able to do the surgery for a Coccygectomy (removal of the tailbone). I was so relieved with happy tears that I finally had someone on my side. So I had thought. Come to find out later that the surgery would not be covered per via phone call from Caleb that I would have to put out $15k out of my own pocket because the health insurance wouldn't pay them nickels on the dime for this procedure. After I had jumped through many hoops, I was finally able to get my health insurance to approve for this surgery back on June 30, 2023, because I have tried many local in-network doctor's, this business is not willing to budge even though I have documents in my hand that it would be paid for 100%. After today's, 11/16/2023, conversation with Caleb via text, he was very unprofessional and no compassion for what I have been through over the last few months to help relieve my pain to have this surgery as my PCP and Chiropractor feels that I would benefit from. He basically made a comment about finding someone else. My time and effort to them was such a waste. This business seems to be more worried about the dollar signs than their patients on a case by case basis.

    Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Doctor didn’t tell me exactly what I wanted to hear but he was very open and honest about doing surgery on a patient my age (71) He proceeded to the next step by ordering a nerve conduction test and gave me time to think over my options. This is exactly what I would expect from a doctor who pulls no punches. It’s always better to know the exact truth of the matter. In my case thebone had already begun to heal and he didn’t really want to rebreak it if I am pain free and functional. Highly recommend Dr. Cowin

    Brought my mom here yesterday. Very pleasant and smooth experience from the scheduling with Melanie to meeting the doctor. Melanie made sure to find us the location and doctor that will best suit my mom’s case (They have a lot of locations and doctors.) to get us ready for the appointment by gathering documents/X-rays from the urgent care. Dr Scott Katzman was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and all ears to all our questions, unlike some doctors who are always in a hurry and dismissive of your concerns. It was a great experience and we would love to see this doctor again! It was worth the trip (we are 30-40mins away)!
