Board-certified neurologist Omar Moore, MD, takes a patient-centered approach to care. As a neurologist, Dr. Omar Moore has the ability to treat a wide range of neurologic disorders, injuries, and degenerative conditions affecting the brain and nervous system.

Omar Moore, MD grew up in the Florida Panhandle, attended medical school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and completed his neurology training at the University of Florida Jacksonville Campus. He also completed additional fellowship training in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Prior to earning his medical degree, Dr. Moore spent eight years in the Army National Guard, including a year overseas in convoy security operations in Afghanistan.

Dr. Moore’s philosophy of care is to treat people the way he would want to be treated. He understands it’s scary to have a diagnosis you don’t fully understand, and that uncertainty breeds fear, especially when your life may be at risk. Dr. Moore takes the extra effort to educate patients about their diagnosis before developing a treatment plan. This knowledge about their own diagnosis empowers patients to choose a treatment plan that they can feel comfortable with.
